“In 2013 Alessandro Mendini invited James to participate in the first Milano Makers, an exhibition devoted to designer-makers based in Milan. Its theme was terracotta. James had the idea of defying conventions regarding size, and sketched a piece of architecture – his architecture – and called it ‘I wish I was an Architect’. It was his dream house. I had it made and now it has pride of place in the lobby of the studio”. MRI
